Senator Warner and Rep. Bobby Scott hosted a Commonwealth Coffee for Virginians today who are in town to attend the Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Convention. The Senator, Rep. Scott  and our staff from across the Commonwealth mingled and chatted with more than 220 Virginians over donuts and coffee. 

A special guest was in attendance: Ernest Green, one of the Arkansas “Little Rock Nine” in 1957 and the first black graduate of Little Rock Central High School. Mr. Green stopped by the Virginia breakfast reception on his 70^th birthday – a fact that was noted from the podium by Rep. Scott. 

This is the third consecutive year that Senator Warner has hosted a coffee for Virginians and others attending the CBC’s weekend convention.
