60th Presidential Inauguration
The 60th Presidential Inauguration will take place at the United States Capitol Building on January 20, 2025. The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC) plans and executes all Inaugural activities at the United States Capitol, including the Inaugural swearing-in ceremony of the President and Vice President of the United States and the traditional Inaugural luncheon that follows. Please visit the JCCIC webpage to learn more about the history of the Inaugural Ceremonies.
Requests for Tickets to the Inauguration Ceremony
Historically, each Member of Congress receives a limited number of tickets to the swearing-in ceremony to distribute to constituents. While we do not yet know how many tickets we will receive, we anticipate that demand for the tickets will outstrip our supply.
In an effort to afford the greatest number of Virginians an opportunity to participate in the Inauguration, we plan to hold a random lottery through which we will award a limited number of tickets to each person selected. We anticipate notifying ticket recipients sometime in the first 2 weeks of January. Please be aware that not all who request tickets will receive them, but we will be in touch with everyone who places a request. The lottery will close on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 11:59pm.
All applicants must:
- be Virginia residents (non-Virginians should contact their home state Senators and Representatives);
- request no more than 4 tickets; and
- submit complete contact information on the form provided.
Virginians interested in attending the Inaugural Ceremony must submit a request using the form below.
If you are selected to receive tickets, you may be required to pick up the tickets in our Washington, DC office in person prior to the ceremony. These tickets are free to the public and not intended for sale. We reserve the right to refuse tickets to anyone determined to be selling them.
Application to participate in the Presidential Inaugural Parade
