A spokesperson for Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) released the following statement on the Justice Department’s decision to end a court battle against the tech company Apple:

"This issue has always been bigger than one court case. Rather, this case is emblematic of a challenge, one that will only grow in the months and years ahead. Senator Warner has said all along that the best way for us to reach an appropriate balance between privacy and national security is to bring all the experts and stakeholders together, rather than talking past each other."
