“With the near passage of the federal budget, we are reminded that we must always be looking for larger savings for taxpayers. This Springfield site saves $75 million in already existing secure fiber for FBI communication needs,” said Senator Warner.

Senator Warner also pointed out that the Virginia site, which is home to a majority of FBI agents in the metro area, will have access to a variety of transportation options including highway express lanes, Metro rail, and a VRE rail station.

“Virginia checks all the boxes. If the FBI evaluates all the costs and benefits, I am sure they will choose Springfield for their new campus,” concluded Senator Warner.
