Virginia delegation urges the President to approve request for federal disaster assistance

All thirteen members of Virginia’s congressional delegation sent a bipartisan letter to President Obama today in support of Governor Bob McDonnell’s request for aid for counties affected by last week’s severe storms.
Initial reports indicate that the storms took the lives of ten people, injured dozens, and destroyed over a thousand structures.
Senators Warner and Webb, Majority Leader Cantor, Reps. Connolly, Forbes Goodlatte, Griffith, Hurt, Moran, Rigell, Scott, and Wittman, and Wolf signed on to the letter asking President Obama to declare the severe weather a major disaster, the full text of which is below.
