Senator Warner and Old Dominion University hosted Saturday’s second-annual Virginia Women’s Conference, which welcomed about 750 women to Norfolk.

“Look, I have an amazing wife and three almost perfect daughters,” Senator Warner said Saturday in his remarks to open the conference. “I know who really runs the show.”

The conference offered advice from experts on health, careers, personal development, business, finance and retirement.

U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius delivered the keynote address, and discussed the importance of getting women into politics and keeping women healthy. “If women and girls benefit,” Secretary Sebelius said. “Then frankly the whole community and world benefits.”
