Senator Warner joined bipartisan majorities in the Senate and the U.S. House in passing free-trade bills with Colombia, Panama and South Korea. The President sent the proposed trade deals to Congress last week.

The deals should help create jobs in the United States, spurring $13 billion annually in new exports.

“Trade is an important part of our economic recovery: 95% of the world's consumers live outside of the United States, and that’s a lot of buying power,” Senator Warner said.

Virginia exports $19 billion each year. South Korea, Colombia and Panama combined currently make-up only about 2% of that total -- $370 million.

“These trade deals will expand markets for Virginia goods and help us create jobs here at home,” the Senator said.
