Last night, Senator Warner and staff began a short trip to the Eastern Shore, Hampton Roads and the Peninsula with a town hall at the beautiful Cape Charles Coffee House.

On Monday, Senator Warner spoke to graduating seniors at JEB Stuart High School in Fairfax County – one of Northern Virginia’s largest and perhaps most diverse public schools. Stuart students hail from 75 countries and speak 47 languages. Senator Warner’s advice? Don’t be afraid to fail, be civil to each other, and take time to say “thanks” to family, friends and teachers who help you along your way.

We ended our trip last week on Thursday in Fredericksburg, where Senator Warner held a town hall meeting with employees of the new Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. Then we stopped by the University of Mary Washington's Annual Devil-Goat Day.

This past Saturday, our office had the honor of hosting Academy Day 2011 at Albemarle High School, just outside Charlottesville, VA. The day began with over 300 high school and middle school students and their families arriving to acquire information about the application process to our nation’s service academies, as well as information on alternative options to the service academies.

Senator Warner recently had a chance to visit Botetourt County. The Roanoke Times' Botetourt View blog did a great write-up of his visit and took lots of photos! (Yes, the Senator even kissed a baby.)
