In a joint letter, Senators Warner, Kaine and Congressmen Bobby Scott, Randy Forbes, Scott Rigell and Rob Wittman urged Secretary of the Air Force Deborah James to consider Virginia’s Joint Base Langley-Eustis as a location for the future Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center (AFIMSC).
Senator Warner had the immense honor of presenting 95-year-old World War II veteran Ralph Kuethe with a Silver Star, the third highest military decoration awarded for gallantry in action. Colonel Kuethe earned the distinction during his heroic service almost 70 years ago.
During a hour-long teletown hall last night, Senator Warner dialed tens of thousands of NoVA residents to take questions on important issues like fixing the immigration system and making higher education more affordable and accessible.
Yesterday VCOG had the pleasure of hosting Sen. Mark Warner (D) for a discussion about open government. Warner, speaking to VCOG’s board and guests at the Library of Virginia, reviewed the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act (DATA), which he co-sponsored with Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio), Rep. Elijjah Cummings (D-Maryland) and Rep. Darrell Issa (R-California).
