WASHINGTON – At the 14th annual meeting of the Financial Services Roundtable’s Housing Policy Council, U.S. Senators Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) and Mark Warner (D-Va.), members of the Senate Banking Committee, today expressed optimism about the prospect of congressional action on housing finance reform.

“We continue to believe that reforming our nation’s housing finance system is the last major piece of unfinished business of the financial crisis and thank the Housing Policy Council for the opportunity to speak with its members this morning,” said Corker and Warner. “We are engaged in productive discussions with our colleagues, the administration, and a number of stakeholders on the best path forward and are extremely optimistic about the prospect of congressional action on reform in the coming months.”
