On the Road: Redskins Training Camp
Jul 29 2013
Senator Warner dropped by the new Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center in Richmond this morning. The Center opened last week and offers 17 acres of practice and workout facilities. Over the weekend, more than 25,000 fans came to watch the team practice.
The Senator greeted veteran cornerback, former Hokie and Chesapeake native DeAngelo Hall before taking a tour of the new building. When not in use for training camp, the facility will be used as Bon Secours’ headquarters for sports medicine and for youth and high school sports events.
Senator Warner also spent some time trying to convince non-Virginian fans of the many merits of the Commonwealth.
Even offered to help 'em pack. MT @michaelpRTD: @MarkWarner at #RedskinsRVA session. Tried to convince a Md. fan to "move across the river."
