Senator Mark Warner had the opportunity today to sit down and speak with James Madison University - Washington Semester students in his DC office.
Sen. Warner spent the day first at a breakfast with the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce and then with the shipbuilders at BAE in Norfolk, VA.

It's day three of Senator Warner’s 1,000 mile statewide Virginia trip and the Senator kicked off the day in Chesapeake talking with realtors, homebuilders and others in the industry about his bipartisan legislation to strengthen America’s housing finance system.
Almost 70 years after learning of Army PFC Alonzo Haynes’ death in combat, his family received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart he earned during his service in World War II. Haynes’ brother contacted Senator Warner recently after learning that he was eligible for the medals.

Yesterday Senator Warner grabbed a handful of letters and emails from constituents, deciding to call some of those Virginians personally to listen to their concerns and express that he shared their frustration with Congress, but would continue to work to replace these broad cuts with a smarter bipartisan proposal.

Senator Warner stopped by the University of Virginia yesterday to speak to the "Up to Us" campaign about the deficit and debt. Up to Us is a student-led campaign to educate young people about the nation's fiscal issues.
