Apr 27 2009
Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services declared a public health emergency after confirming several isolated cases of swine influenza in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Although there are no confirmed cases of swine flu in Virginia, we are working with Virginia Department of Health and the Center for Disease Control to distribute information and resources on how you can prevent or treat swine flu.
Click here to visit our swine flu resource page.
Our resource page includes frequently asked questions and links to helpful websites, notably the CDC, which will be conducting the investigation into the spread of the disease.
We will update the page with the latest information about swine flu in Virginia and across the nation. You can also stay updated by visiting the links in the widget above or by following the CDC on Twitter.
