Military Construction projects in Virginia

Last week, Senator Warner and Senator Webb announced that the Senate Appropriations Committee allocated $467.1 million for key military construction projects in Virginia.
The funding is authorized through the spending bill approved by the Subcommittee for Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies. It is part of more than $133.9 billion in total funding, including more than $76.7 billion in discretionary spending.
The bill incorporates two projects specifically requested by Virginia's senators and supported by the U.S. Navy and Army:
- $3.66 million for the expansion of an electromagnetic research and engineering facility at the Naval Surface Warfar Center in Dalghren, Va;
- $8.9 million to upgrade the marshalling area at Fort Eustis.
