This Saturday, Senator Mark Warner participated in a variety of events around Richmond. From hitting the bike trail to announcing scholarships for Virginians, Senator Warner enjoyed seeing people all around RVA before opening up the 4th Annual Virginia Women’s Conference.
Today, Senator Mark Warner participated in a Google+ Hangout with Virginia 21, a non-partisan advocacy group focused on engaging young voters around the Commonwealth including voter registration.
Senator Mark Warner wrapped up his visit to Southwest Virginia by celebrating the 10th anniversary of Virginia Tech in the Atlantic Coast Conference. As Governor of Virginia, Senator Warner was integral in making sure VT was included in the then-newly established ACC.

Sens. Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine announced today that the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) has awarded the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development and the New College Foundation a $500,000 grant to expand the New College Institute (NCI) in Martinsville.
