More questions for the Air Force on F-22
May 11 2012
Senator Warner sat down yesterday with the two Air Force pilots who blew the whistle on problems with oxygen deprivation on the F-22 Raptor. The pilots drove up from Langley Air Force base in Hampton to share their concerns with the Senator following their interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes on Sunday night.
After the meeting, Senator Warner and Representative Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill, sent a letter to the Air Force requesting more information about the allegations, including a confidential survey of F-22 pilots. Additional pilots have contacted Senator Warner following the a Newport News Daily Press article reported on Monday that the Senator wanted to look into the issue further.
"I want to give the Air Force their due," Senator Warner said. "But I have grave concerns."
