At his Washington office, Sen. Warner met two young Virginians each doing their own part to serve our Commonwealth and country.
Mason Scearce, an 11-year old student at Park Avenue Elementary School in Danville, came up to Washington with his Dad to visit Sen. Warner. Mason is an accomplished artist who won the 2013 Tar Wars Poster Contest, which asked kids to create a poster discouraging tobacco use among American youth.
Mason and his father were joined by Dr. Saria Sacoccio, Chief Medial Offer at Danville Regional Medical Center, who has worked with Tar Wars to encourage young Virginians to remain tobacco-free.
Sen. Warner also met Ben Radford, a Roanoke native currently serving as a Midshipman at the United States Naval Academy. Back in 2010, Sen. Warner nominated him for admission to the Academy; four years later, Ben now plans to be commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in the Marine Corps upon his graduation in May.
