Yesterday, Senator Mark Warner visited with community leaders around Fredericksburg.
First, he met with small business owners as part of the Fredericksburg Small Business Symposium to talk about current issues facing their businesses and the region.
Sen. Warner discussed his legislative efforts to assist entrepreneurs and took questions from the engaged attendees. He noted, "There are four things that should concern small businesses in Virginia: access to capital, access to talent, smart regulations , and fiscal certainty."
"Fredericksburg is lucky to have the access to talent that creates a great quality of life with Mary Washington nearby and being close to DC, " said Sen. Warner.
Sen. Warner also met with faith leaders from the Fredericksburg area. Sen. Warner listened to concerns from the leaders and answered wide-range of questions including voting rights and Syria.
Sen. Warner has another full day today visiting with leaders around Virginia. He is in the Northern Neck participating in a roundtable discussion about tourism, visiting with community leaders at Rappahannock Community College, and taking a “hard hat tour” of the Revolutionary War museum at Yorktown.
