Senator Warner discusses the bipartisan budget agreement announced Tuesday, calling it a “day of sanity after months of irresponsibility.”

Senator Warner praises the two-year end to the uncertainty caused by destructive sequester cuts, noting “whether you're in the defense industry or a teacher or a road builder, you have some predictability” as a result of the agreement reached by congressional leaders.

Senator Warner will continue to push for a long-term solution to rein in the national debt and the rising costs of entitlement programs by reforming the tax code and making changes to strengthen successful programs like Medicare and Social Security for future generations.
