Senator Mark Warner wrapped up his visit to Southwest Virginia by celebrating the 10th anniversary of Virginia Tech in the Atlantic Coast Conference. As Governor of Virginia, Senator Warner was integral in making sure VT was included in the then-newly established ACC.
"To be back here at Lane Stadium today is very special for me," said Senator Warner as spoke with students outside the stadium.
During the game, Senator Warner spent time on the air with the “Voice of the Hokies” Bill Roth and they chatted about the ACC anniversary and the prospects of a Hokie win.
Senator Warner then made his way through the stands down to the field where he met up with former Hokie and NFL Legend Bruce Smith.
