Senator Warner will join military families at the Pentagon in Arlington on Sunday to mark the 10th anniversary of the deadly Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on Virginia and America.
Senator Warner, who was elected Virginia Governor eight weeks after 9/11 and currently serves on the Senate''s Select Committee on Intelligence, says his thoughts on this tenth anniversary are with a generation of new American heroes who emerged in the first minutes of the tragedy: the Virginia police officers and firefighters who rushed to the Pentagon -- Virginia's active-duty, Reserve and National Guard men and women who have served multiple tours of duty overseas -- those military families who support the troops, and wait and worry about them here at home -- and, of course, the members of Virginia's own Navy SEAL Team Six, who took-out Osama bin Laden.
