Fighting childhood cancer

Senator Warner met with 25 students from Fairfax High School yesterday who were on Capitol Hill to raise awareness about childhood cancer.
Senator Warner attended a naturalization ceremony in Alexandria this morning for hundreds of new American citizens and their families. He urged the new citizens not to be afraid to fail and to take care to be respectful of those with different beliefs.
Senator Warner kicked off a 5-day trip across the Commonwealth today with stops in Woodbridge and Reston to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Senator spoke about one of his personal heroes, Barbara Rose Johns from Prince Edward County.
Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) and Rep. Frank Wolf (R-10) addressed members of the Northern Virginia Technology Council Friday, Jan. 10 at Sprint in Reston. The two legislators discussed priorities for the year ahead, as well as the need for a long-term budget solution from congress.

Senator Warner joined Sen. Kaine, Gov.-elect McAuliffe, Reps. Connolly, Moran and Wolf, and a variety of state and local officials to announce his support for the FBI relocating its headquarters to a site near the Springfield Interchange in Fairfax County.
Senator Warner sent a letter raising concerns about the latest delay in the Metro’s Silver Line project. The Silver Line will eventually connect Loudoun, Fairfax, and Arlington counties with Dulles Airport and downtown DC via rapid-transit public transportation.
