Senator Warner met with Belgium Prime Minister Yves Leterme today in our Capitol Hill office.  The Prime Minister was in town to attend President Obama's nuclear security summit.

The two discussed how the United States and Belgium are coping with the global economic recession and steps each government is taking to address climate change.

Senator Warner encouraged the Prime Minister to cross the Potomac and visit Virginia.  In turn, Prime Minister Leterme gave Senator Warner his business card, inviting him to visit Belgium.

At the end of their meeting, Senator Warner and Prime Minister Leterme exchanged gifts -- Senator Warner gave the Prime Minister a set of U.S. Senate cuff links and received a box of Belgian chocolates.
