Sens. Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine announced today that the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) has awarded the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development and the New College Foundation a $500,000 grant to expand the New College Institute (NCI) in Martinsville.
“I’m not a policy person,” said Lou Kadiri, constituent services director for Senator Mark Warner’s Roanoke office. “If I was, I’d be in D.C.” Kadiri made a stop at the Radford Public Library Tuesday morning from 10:30 a.m. until noon as a representative of Warner.

Senator Warner dropped by the new Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center in Richmond this morning. The Center opened last week and offers 17 acres of practice and workout facilities. Over the weekend, more than 25,000 fans came to watch the team practice.
Senator Mark Warner stopped by Northern Virginia Community College on Sunday to continue his push for national immigration reform. During a special town hall meeting the college’s Woodbridge campus, Warner touted the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act.
