On WTOP radio this morning Sen. Warner discussed a new bill he has introduced, the Military Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act of 2013, to strengthen existing military whistleblower protection laws to ensure that victims of sexual assault and other misconduct are protected from retaliation after they report the alleged offenses.
Senator Warner joined Northern Virginia faith and community leaders last night to announce an agreement with several leading banks to provide housing assistance in Prince William County – the hardest-hit Virginia locality during the housing foreclosure crisis.

Sen. Warner hosted a Twitter town hall today, along with Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon, to discuss the Student Right to Know Before You Go Act of 2013, which they have introduced along with Florida Sen. Marco Rubio. The bipartisan legislation would make a wide range of vital comparative data about higher education programs available to prospective students and their families.
Senator Warner was happy to take a break from today’s meetings and votes to speak with more than 30 students and teachers from Page County High School, who had made the long trip up to Washington this morning to explore the nation’s capital.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Mark R. Warner (D-VA) introduced legislation today that would bring increased accountability measures and a more collaborative management approach to Chesapeake Bay restoration efforts.
Senator Warner regularly hosts ‘Commonwealth Coffees’ at his Washington, D.C. office to give an opportunity for Virginians to informally meet with him and his key legislative staff over coffee and doughnuts. Today, members of Virginia’s Asian-Pacific community were invited to stop by Capitol Hill.
